Dan Meyer just put his TEDx talk from a conference he presented at in New York City this spring up on his math blog. I love his blog because I think he helps math make sense to high school students and because he teaches students the importance of math in our everyday lives encouraging them to not be afraid to come up with their own problem solving strategies. His blog encourages teachers like me to do the same. If you have 12 minutes, you might want to listen to his talk on our current math curriculum in our schools and how we can make math better for our students with just a little effort.
